The client that owned this property had specific ideas for her home style, which included a modern ‘country’ theme, with wrap around verandahs/pergolas and stone cladding as a feature on the exterior of the residence.
The home features an open plan kitchen/dining and lounge, generous walk in pantry, separate TV room, 2 bedrooms plus study, large laundry with separate toilet, and single bathroom with spa.
The home was oriented to suit the site and the northern winter sun, and other sustainable design features include double glazing throughout the home, an ‘L’ shaped layout means all main living areas + TV room and study take advantage of the northern sun, a dark tile to the floor retains heat in winter, whilst verandahs and pergolas with deciduous vines keep out the summer sun. A solar hot water system was installed as an energy efficient water heating system.
