Tathra Retro Studio Apartment “Sea Eagles Nest.”

A studio apartment was required to accompany an existing residence overlooking a gorgeous river in Tathra.

The client was residing overseas, so all design and building was via email correspondence and conference calls. The client wanted a ‘retro’ feel to the interior, whilst the exterior needed to be sympathetic to the bush environment and existing residence.

The apartment is rented out separately to the main residence, which needed to be considered in the design and building decisions. Clever storage solutions make the most of every possible nook and cranny of this small studio, and do so whilst remaining unobtrusive in the small open-plan kitchen/bedroom/lounge.
