The family requested an open plan house that would cater for large parties and lots of visitors. When the large cavity sliding doors are open the upstairs living area expands to open out onto the undercover living space.
Upstairs is predominantly for the parents’ use while downstairs is the domain of the two children and their dog.
The family room downstairs can be closed off from the rest of the house by sliding a timber panel screen across the staircase.
