This home was designed to ensure the living areas are situated on the northern side of the home to make the most of solar passive heating.
Large areas of glazing invite the winter sun into the living areas in winter, and the addition of solid brick internal walls in the family rooms and bedrooms provide outstanding thermal storage. These solid brick walls double as excellent acoustic barriers for the home.
A galvanised steel water storage tank is located out of site, under the deck.
